The Pella City Council will have two key projects to review at their policy and planning session following regular business Tuesday. The first will be a review of the Oskaloosa Street Corridor Redevelopment Plan. Ahead of a planned joint session with the Planning and Zoning Commission, council will discuss a potential entertainment district on the west side of Oskaloosa Street and other development strategies for the road from Main Street to Eagle Lane. Also at policy and planning, council will discuss proposed infrastructure improvements in the Central Business District, including a delay of the scheduled Oost Poort alleyway reconstruction and potential projects to be completed over the next three years, especially as it relates to Franklin Street going forward. No formal action will be taken on these items. The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Public Safety Complex.
