It came down to a tiebreaker in the Pella boys golf team’s runner-up finish in the Little Hawkeye Conference invitational Monday. The Dutch tied winner Newton with 312 strokes, only for the top trophy to come down to the 5th score. John Oltman at 74, Trey Wood at 76, and Luke Galeazzi at 79 all earned All-Conference honors. Will Simpson scored 83 to hit 312. Pella plays again Wednesday in their sectional meet at the Amana Colonies. The Eagles shot 379 as a team. Kyle Gao shot the low score for Pella Christian at 90, followed by Cole Webster’s 91 and a gutsy performance from an ill Micha Mitchell to score 95. The Eagles are at their sectional meeting Friday at Williamsburg.
