What is now known as Dordt University, which has a deep connection with the Pella community, is hosting the 2019 Defender Gold Club golf tournament at the end of the month in Pella. Kyle Lindbergh works with the Defender Gold Club and an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach, and says there are currently 40 Pella-area natives enrolled at Dordt, with several more coming this fall. Lindbergh says the event is meant to celebrate that relationship, while also benefiting the athletics programs many Pella and Pella Christian alumni participate in at the next level.

“We’re looking to give back to the community in Pella and continue to build this relationship, not just with students, but also with a lot of local businesses who are employing alumni,” he says.

The tournament will be held on Friday, May 31st at Bos Landen. Registration is $100, and includes lunch at 11:30 and a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
