Championship Saturday closed with several top finishes on the famous Blue Oval for the athletes of the Tulip City at the State Track and Field meet.
Pella’s boys capped off the weekend with a 6th place overall finish, with the highlight of Saturday’s events being the 4×110 shuttle hurdle relay, which finished a very close 3rd place and a time of 59.86 seconds.
The 2018 champion Lady Dutch finished in a tie for 5th place in a loaded 3A field over the weekend, and closed with two strong events, including the 4×400 relay who jumped from the 8th seed to finish 3rd.
The sprinting groups of the Pella and Pella Christian teams were a highlight, and both closed out with a 2nd place finish in their respective classes in the 4×100 relays.
