An active weather pattern is in the forecast for Memorial Day weekend, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is reminding everyone to be aware of the forecast as they enjoy recreational opportunities. Park Ranger Tracy Spry says anyone planning to be on a boat should check the forecast before hitting the water, especially since strong thunderstorms can develop with little-to-no warning. Additionally, she says most campgrounds have designated storm shelters and weather alerts available to those who plan to stay at Lake Red Rock through Monday evening and throughout the summer.
