Another Special Olympian from Marion County earned gold at this past weekend’s Iowa Summer State Games, held on the campus of Iowa State University.

Cameron Cross was a winner in his division of the 50 meter dash; he joins Michelle Turnage, who won her 50 meter competition for a gold to go along with the one she got for the javelin throw.

Taylor Fearno won silver in his 50 meter competition, while Marissa Schletzbaum took a silver in her 100 meter race.
