A stellar career came to an end for a Pella High School graduate at the state singles and doubles girls tennis tournament. Brooke Jorgensen placed 6th in the Class 1A singles bracket Thursday, ending her time as a high school athlete as a four-time qualifier for the individual tournament — placing 6th as a doubles player for Pella Christian as a freshman, and back-to-back 3rd place finishes in the state with Pella her sophomore and junior campaigns. Jorgensen won in the consolation semifinals 6-0, 6-1, and fell in the 5th place match 4-6, 4-6.
