Freshly in the Class 4A rankings at No. 15, the Lady Dutch softball team came back in a newly-scheduled game in Ankeny Thursday, winning 8-7. Brynnlin Kroymann had two hits, a double, and four runs driven in, Maddy Rempe and Ally Almond each went 2 for 4 and scored a run, and Maddie Parks went 3 for 3 at the plate and pitched a complete game, giving up five earned runs in the victory. The Lady Dutch stole five bases.

Pella swapped leads with Ankeny, falling behind 5-3 after the 4th. After tying the game in the top of the 6th, the Hawks pulled ahead, but the Lady Dutch hung a three spot on Ankeny in the top of the 7th and hung on for the win. Kroymann had a two run double to give Pella the late lead.

Pella improves to 4-0 on the season, and will head to the Oskaloosa invitational Saturday.
