Both Melcher-Dallas and Orient-Macksburg Softball squads were strong in the pitcher’s circle Friday, but it was the Saints that came out on top of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 at day one of the Murray Invitational on Friday. Emilie Krpan allowed just four hits and mowed down nine Orient-Macksburg batters, and the Saints did the rest on offense. Hayley Godfrey went 3/3 with an RBI. Melcher-Dallas is 1-1 on the season and return to Murray today for the second day of the Mustang Classic.
