The Pella City Council is holding a public hearing to award a contract for repairs to three lift stations owned by the city at their meeting this evening. Two bids will be considered for the projects estimated to cost the city $45,000. Additionally, several changes to 4th of July festivities will also be reviewed in a special event permit request, in which many of the festivities scheduled originally throughout the morning and afternoon will be moved to the late afternoon and evening, including the parade and activities in Central Park. Council will also review resolutions for a substitute paying agent and an engineering services contract for West 3rd Street sanitary relief sewer improvements. The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Public Safety Complex.
