Pioneer Days at Marion County Park begins today. The annual weekend event hosted by the historic village allows residents a glimpse of what life was like in Marion County in the 1800’s

The weekend festivities begin with Movie Under the Stars, with a feature beginning tonight at dusk. Then on Saturday, all buildings will be open for viewing; there will be live entertainment in the school house, and demonstrations on site. A pancake breakfast courtesy of the Lions Club will be served from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. and lunch will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Craig Agan with the Marion County Historical Society tells KNIA/KRLS News Saturday will  feature the first ever induction into the Marion County Historical Society Hall of Fame.

All buildings at the village will be open for viewing throughout the event until 5:00 p.m.
