The Knoxville VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic held an open house Friday. The open house allowed veterans to get more information about VA Health Care, sign up for benefits as well as the opportunity to tour the facilities, meet the staff and VA leadership, and see live demonstrations of state-of-the art telehealth services. Director of the VA Central Health Care System, Gail Graham tells KNIA/KRLS News the VA wanted to hold the open house to show off the specialty services offered at the CBOC as well as inform veterans about services they might not realize they are eligible for. Graham adds, the open house was also an opportunity for veterans and their families to meet the Women’s Veterans Coordinator as well as the Program Directors for the Home Based Primary Care Program which is a new program now available in Knoxville. Veterans and their families were also treated to a pancake breakfast courtesy of the Knoxville Lions Club.
