The 2019 Ercoupe National Convention begins tomorrow. The Knoxville airport will play host to the event for just the second time in its history with the first occurring in 2004. This year’s convention titled “Gathering of Coupes” will run through Sunday. Tomorrow’s festivities include a fly out to the Blakesburg Airpower Museum at 10 am, a food truck at the Knoxville airport at 2 pm, and a hangar dance at 7 pm. The dance will include live music from the country music group Red Dirt Renegade. On Saturday,  the convention will continue with a flight breakfast from 7am to 11am as well as the annual banquet, awards, and auction, at the Knoxville National Guard Armory hosted by Hy-Vee at 6 pm.
