Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is scheduled to participate in Pella’s 4th of July Parade. The Senator from Vermont is running as a Democrat for the second consecutive presidential election cycle, narrowly losing the Iowa Caucus and the nomination as the party’s candidate to Hillary Clinton in 2016. Sanders will participate in the parade that begins at 6 p.m. along Franklin Street in Pella.
