Local law enforcement is receiving multiple reports of trees down and power lines down near Pella and Knoxville. The photo above is from near Accura Healthcare in Knoxville. A report came in of a power line sparking on Idaho Drive at approximately 10:15 a.m., and a tree was down on power lines near the 700 Block of 210th Avenue as well. Both have been cleared up by crews.

Knoxville Fire and Rescue extinguished a transformer fire at Knoxville Raceway, which was reported just before 11 a.m.

A tree was snapped by strong winds in Central Park in Pella as well. Damage to outbuildings was also reported near Bussey.

Additionally, very heavy rainfall has fallen in the area — 1.2″ of rain fell in Pella between 10:10 and 10:50, and wind gusts up to 50 MPH were reported near Leighton, according to the National Weather Service.
