The Warren County Farm Bureau is hosting an educational tent at this year’s Warren County Fair, providing an opportunity for kids to learn more about agriculture. Warren County Farm Outreach Coordinator Keisha Thompson tells KNIA News there will be a host of activities trying to get children interested in agriculture in a fun and relatable way.
“I was hired about a year ago, and my sole job is to teach agriculture in the classroom to students in the area. So I go around to all the schools and really try to relate agriculture with what they are learning on a day-to-day basis and this will be a big opportunity to show kids how much agriculture affects them in their everyday life and impacts their future, so this will be a great feature of that.”
