The Twin Cedars Softball Squad outscored Tri-County last night 18-7. The Sabers had 15 hits led by three from Jetta Sterner, Rylee Dunkin, and Grace Bailey. Bailey had three RBI while Dunkin had three stolen bases. Ali Mockenhaupt got the win going the distance while striking out two. Coach Zack Dunkin tells KRLS Sports between Mockenhaupt and Bailey, it is nice to have the luxury of having two pitchers that can go at any time. The Sabers are 28-4 on the season and with two wins tonight over Centerville, they can tie for the all time most wins in a single season with 30. While the softball squad was trouncing Tri-County, the baseball squad at the adjoining field was doing the same in its game. An eight run third got the Sabers back in it after being down 6-2 early on, then a six run fourth blew the game apart as Twin Cedars won going away 18-6. The Sabers are 12-11 on the season and will take the rest of this week off.
