With school registration events coming up soon,the Marion County Public Health Department would like to remind families to get their children’s immunizations and health screening done prior to registration events. Nurse Judi Van Hulzen with the department tells KNIA/KRLS News if parents are unsure what immunizations their child might need they can call Marion County Public Health and they will be able to search the state database to find out what your child needs. Van Hulzen says to get your child’s immunizations you will need to set up a well child visit with your doctor. She says the department can also give immunizations to any child that has medicaid or does not have insurance.
