This past spring, the Central College wrestling team had its highest finish in coach Eric Van Kley’s 12 years at the helm.

Joining us on last night’s Central College Radio Coaches Corner, Van Kley told our own Trevor Castle that that weekend was one of the highlights of the season.

“Our regional this year had six of the top 11 teams in the country.  There are six regionals in the country, and half of the ranked teams in the top 11 were in our regional, and we finished third.  We qualified two young men, including one local guy, Chase Petty, for nationals. It was a culmination of a great group of guys who really came together as the season went along.”
