The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening. The council considered a proposal by the YMCA to work on funding the YMCA maintenance and operational budget, and the council approved city staff to contribute up to $126,000 to the YMCA budget. The council also approved a budget amendment, the East Hillcrest Trail Connector, and improvements to the West Third Avenue sewer. After the meeting concluded, the council held a work session on the proposal by the Downtown Streetscape Steering Committee, where the council will take official action on a later meeting in August.
