Joey Bylund threw a complete game 3-hitter on the mound Friday evening for the Indianola baseball team as they won their opening round substate postseason game against Des Moines East 3-0. The Indians struck first in the top half of the first inning off of a Tyce Johnson RBI single to get the Indians up 1-0. That score would hold until the top of the 6th when the Indians added another run off of a Quinn Vesey (Vee-See) single, and another in the seventh with a Gabe Zwanziger single. Bylund was dominant the whole way through, giving up just the three hits and didn’t walk a batter. Indianola has now won seven games in a row, and will continue postseason play Monday against Lewis Central in Council Bluffs.
