Vermeer Corporation has released a documentary remembering the tornado that struck their campus one year ago. The Story of Vermeer Strong debuted on the company’s social media channels Friday afternoon, almost exactly one year to the date a large, EF-3 tornado destroyed Plants 5 and 6 and damaged several other areas along the Vermeer Mile. The documentary features commentary and reflection from the corporation’s leadership, as well as employees who experienced the storm first hand. Vermeer CEO and President Jason Andringa says the most positive aspect of the tornado’s destruction has been the response that has followed, and how the company and its team were able to turn potential tragedy into an opportunity.
