For the third straight year, the Central College men’s tennis squad was given the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team Award. Meanwhile, six Central players were named to the ITA Scholar-Athlete Team. The Dutch posted a 3.33 combined team grade point average and a 12-9 dual meet record, placing third in the American Rivers Conference. To receive the ITA distinction, teams must carry a combined GPA of 3.20 or higher. It’s the seventh time the Dutch have received the award since 2005. May graduate Colin Jones of Pella was honored for the fourth time, carrying a perfect 4.0 GPA for the year while Danny Anderson was recognized a third time and William Isiminger is a two-time honoree. Tanner Finken, Joe Roberts and Ben Turnley were honored for the first time.
