Pella Regional Health Center provides medically necessary health care to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. If a patient has a remaining balance after trying all other coverage options, they may be eligible for financial assistance. Business Office Manager Cris Findley says many insurance policies have high co-pays and deductibles, meaning patients face large out-of-pocket expenses for their health. Findley says staff at Pella Regional is available to help patients work through health care bills and payment options that fit a particular financial situation. Financial assistance will be considered for patients who are unable to pay for their health care based on financial need. If a patient does not have insurance and qualifies for financial assistance, they will not be billed more for services than the amount generally billed to those who have insurance. Patients requesting financial assistance are required to complete the Financial Assistance Application as well as providing the proper income documentation. If it is determined that a patient is eligible, Pella Regional will notify then on how much assistance is available, or if not, they will be notified in writing and given an explanation of the reason.
