When weather becomes a problem for our area schools be it winter or spring and summer, the athletic directors job becomes very important. After notifying all parties about the cancellation or postponement, then it is time to reach out to the AD at the opposing school and try to find a comparable date. Knoxville Athletic Director Ryan Paulsen tells KRLS Sports sometimes it is tricky trying to reschedule a game. Finding other opponents came in to play during the basketball season this school year when brutally cold conditions cancelled or postponed several late season games. Paulsen adds it is always nice to keep relationships with opponents so they can be as flexible as possible.
