The Pleasantville School Board met in regular session Tuesday. A partnership between the district and Marion County Habitat for Humanity was made official. The goal of this partnership is to encourage volunteerism in students while also teaching useful life skills and helping the community. Resignations and new hires for the district were discussed and approved as well as open enrollment requests.

A $29,000 purchase of a steam cooker boiler was also approved. The board accepted the offer of $1,600 for the district’s out of use 1993 GMC plow truck and approved a contract with Estes Construction for management services on Pleasantville’s track and stadium project.
