The Pella Police Department is inviting all Pella residents to participate in the next session of the Citizens Police Academy. The eight week class will be held on Wednesday evenings starting September 18th. Officer Shawn Veenstra, who leads the program, says they will cover the different aspects of police work, including firearms, investigations, traffic stops, and more. The program is free to attend, and those who want to sign up should contact Officer Veenstra at the Pella Police Department or stop by their lobby for more information.
