The City of Indianola is currently in the process of updating their building codes to fit the modern standard. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the city codes are currently from 2012, and it is a goal from city staff to reform those codes as they continue development around the area.
“This is first and foremost an important thing for us to do. The city’s codes are currently lagging behind, and as we look forward to projects like the wastewater treatment plant, we wanted to make sure we are building to the most current regulations and lead by example with how we want the city to be run.”
