The PCM volleyball team is gearing up for the 2019 season looking to improve from last year’s 5-26 campaign. Alex Sampson is taking a year off from the head coaching position, as she’s expecting a newborn child in September. That leaves the door open for Mike Vittetoe to return to the position after two years as an assistant coach. He says that while there is a good amount of returning talent, there are also some big shoes that need to be filled.

Celeste Wagaman returns for her junior season after leading the team last year with 113. PCM will have to replace the top two dig leaders from last year. The Mustangs open their season with a quad at Newton on August 27th. PCM opens Heart of Iowa Conference play when they host Saydel on September 12th.
