Known locally as PPI, the company known for manufacturing pulleys and idlers locally has been operating under a different name. CEO Roger Brown says after acquiring two businesses in the food processing business, they formed PFI, or Precision Food Innovations, which joined with Precision Pulley and Idler, became Precision, Inc. Brown says when the company considered growth over the last several years, they decided to try and venture into new markets with opportunities to bolster what they provide. The main headquarters has been renamed, but the PPI and PFI names will remain distinct as separate divisions. PPI makes components of conveyor systems around the world, and PFI does projects of similar nature for the food manufacturing industry.
