Residents of Knoxville and the surrounding area have been invited to take part in a prayer walk on Sunday, September 8th. The Knoxville Community Prayer Walk is an opportunity for community members to come together to walk and pray over the community. This event is intended for all ages and anyone who has an interest in helping bless the Knoxville community through prayer according to organizers Tyler Pearson and Kevin Stittsworth. Stittsworth tells KNIA/KRLS News the community has experienced a few tragedies in recent years as well as some exciting times and he says the best way to show the people that Knoxville residents care about one another and are a unified community is with the Prayer Walk. The walk will run from 3 pm to 5 pm and will begin and end at Panther Park located at 309 W Main St. Participants will be divided into groups and assigned to different prayer locations. The goal of this event is to walk throughout the community and pray for the upcoming year.
