The Pella School Board continued discussion about the future of a potential childcare center at their meeting Wednesday. The board decided against the purchase of a current facility in the community to serve those needs, as the old PRC Building is up for auction next week. Comparisons to what that would have cost vs. building something new were given, with the project landing somewhere between $6 to $10 million. They also approved a contract extension for Varsity Group to help market and provide ads for the new video board at the football stadium and set meeting times for the next year of board meetings.
