Pella Christian will look to play spoiler over a class 3A playoff qualifier to open the 2019 football season as they make the short trek down 163 to take on Oskaloosa.

No. 6 preseason in Class 1A, the Eagles will look to replicate the strong start they had to 2018, knocking off long-time Little Hawkeye Conference rival Osky 51-33. Tonight’s matchup at the Lacey Complex has a similar air of uncertainty, with several key playmakers departing from both teams. Eagles Head Coach Rich Kacmarynski says he has a lot of respect for how quickly Jake Jenkins has rebuilt the Oskaloosa program into a team always in the hunt for a playoff berth, and he expects significant challenge this evening.

Pregame coverage begins at 6:30 p.m., with opening kickoff at 7:00 on 92.1 KRLS, as Andrew Schneider and Larry Hessing return to broadcast Eagles football for the sixth straight year.
