The PCM boys and girls cross country teams didn’t have any state qualifiers last season, but some talented runners who return this year were very close to making it. While boys and girls teams do have slightly different outlooks for the season, Head Coach Eric Karr says that he has quality runners that should be able to be very competitive in conference meets.

Jason Stafford and Beau Webb are expected to be the top runners on the boys side. Claire Johnson is one of only two senior girls this year, and she’ll be expected to take on a leadership role as well. PCM ran at the Iowa State meet last Thursday, and they’ll get things underway in earnest on Tuesday, September 10th when they head to Grinnell. Hear a season preview interview with Head Coach Eric Carr on the Radio Sports Page this evening on KNIA and KRLS.
