Another week, another top 10 showdown for the Pella football team as they hit the long road down Highway 163 to Mount Pleasant. The No. 5 Dutch take the No. 10 Panthers in week two action of non-district play. Pella grinded out a 14-0 win over DCG, while Mt. Pleasant handled previously rated Clear Creek Amana 42-20.

Head Coach Jay McKinstrey says the Panthers boast one of the larger, more athletic offensive and defensive lines they will likely see this season, which will present several challenges.

Senior Brody Bender offers a bit of balance to the run attack Mt. Pleasant will establish — with 38 carries between backs Logan Bass and Jack Johnson recorded in week one.

Kickoff is at 7:30 and pregame is at 6:30 between Pella and Mt. Pleasant, which can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
