indianola-3

The first play from scrimmage went 84 yards to the house from Kael Kolarik for the Indianola Indians football team Friday evening against Des Moines Hoover, as the Indians dominated in a 35-7 victory. The Indians gained over 300 yards on the ground in the victory, as both Kolarik and Chance Ricketts went over the century mark, with Kolarik scoring three touchdowns, with both quarterback Brayden Wireman and running back Sam Hildreth each gaining another score. Head Coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports the ground game was a product of his big guys making holes up front. Carter Erickson led the way defensively with four sacks and several additional tackles for loss and a pass deflection. The Indians improve to 1-1 on the season, and will travel to Fort Dodge in non-district play next Friday.
