The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday evening. The board officially passed the confirmed language on the $3.5 million bond referendum special election coming this fall, which would add the funds to the additional $29.9 million bond for the Warren County Justice Center on the downtown Indianola square in a 2-1 vote, with supervisor Crystal McIntyre voting against. The board also authorized the Warren County Attorney’s Office to negotiate purchase of real estate for the 911 project. In the public comments portion of the meeting, Carlisle Mayor Drew Merrifield once again approached the board and asked them to consider expanding the board from 3 to 5 members, which cannot take place until after the 2020 census has been taken.
