The Knoxville Public Library will host the Friends of the Library Book Sale on October 24th, 25th and 26th. This will be the first Friends of the Library Book Sale held at the newly renovated and expanded library. Library Director Roslin Thompson tells KNIA/KRLS News the book sale is important to the library because the Friends of the Library use proceeds raised to help pay for things the library needs throughout the year that are not already budgeted for. Thompson says the book sale will be held in the library’s Community Room with hardcover books for sale for $2 dollars each, the soft cover books go for a dollar each, and kids books are usually 25 cents or 50 cents. She says Saturday is a special time as attendees will be able to get a bag of books for between $2 to $5. The sale will run from noon to 8 pm on October 24th, 10am to 5 pm on the 25th and 10 am to noon on the 26th. For more information contact the Knoxville Public Library.
