Melcher-Dallas’s rushing attack was took much for Twin Cedars to overcome Friday night in the annual Marion County Eight-Man title game as it went to the Saints 49-14. Twin Cedars scored twice with Levi Messamaker in the first quarter and Kade Dunkin in the third quarter. The Saints churned out 199 yards on the ground led by Steven Krpan’s 66 yards, his favorite receiver was his brother Ryan catching five passes for 69 yards, his defense was also on display as he picked off three Twin Cedars passes and returned one for a touchdown. Melcher-Dallas is 2-3 on the season and will host AGWSR next week. Twin Cedars is now 1-5 on the season and will travel to Baxter on Friday. Both teams had to endure a near two hour lightning delay early in the game.
