The PCM Mustangs took the Saydel Eagles to the woodshed in a 53-7 beatdown Friday night during the PCM Homecoming. The Mustangs, who were playing their first game on their new field would score on a 1 yard Sage Burns touchdown run to go up 7-0 early in the first quarter. PCM would get scores from Jacob Van Winkle and Aiden Anderson in the first quarter to take a commanding 21-0 lead after one quarter of play. The Mustangs would pull their starters halfway through the second quarter before cruising to a 41-0 halftime lead on their way to the 53-7 win. Mustangs move to 5-1 on the year and 2-0 in district play and will next take on Des Moines Christian which could serve as the Class 2A District 8 championship game. Head PCM Coach Greg Bonnett tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they are excited for next week’s match up. Bonnett says his Mustangs are figuring out their identity and they are hitting their stride at the right time and are really looking forward to the matchup. The Mustangs and Lions will get things kicked off from Urbandale next Friday night at 7:30 pm.
