The Helping Hand in Indianola has changed some of their procedures for families who take advantage of their services, including changes to vouchers and frequency of use. Executive Director Sue Wilson tells KNIA News the voucher system is no longer in place, so families will no longer need to obtain one before coming in, and families can come in every month now, rather than waiting 60 days. Wilson said the portions might be a little smaller, but serving every month rather than every other month will work better for the area. The Helping Hand is open Tuesday from 12:30 to 2:30pm, Thursday and Saturday from 9am to 11am, and new hours on the third and fourth Wednesday of each month from 6 to 7:30pm.
