The West Central Conference Cross Country Meet was held Thursday at Panorama. Van Meter was the girls team champion with a score of 46. Pleasantville placed sixth with a score of 171. No Trojans finished in the top 15, but junior Hailee McCormick placed 27th in a time of 23:44.

Des Moines Christian was the boys champion with a score of 45. Pleasantville did not have much luck, finishing 11th with a score of 282. Freshman Devon Luing was the top Trojan, placing 35th in a time of 19:25. The Trojans will get back to work and head to the state qualifying meet at Williamsburg next Thursday.
