A member of the Central football team has earned national recognition following his performance this past Saturday. Senior cornerback Danny Anderson has been named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week, announced by the organization on Tuesday.

Anderson led the team with three pass breakups on Saturday at Buena Vista, including a critical stop in a 4th and Goal situation in the fourth quarter. He also recorded five tackles, including one and a half tackles for loss.

He’s the third Dutch athlete to receive the honor this season, joining quarterback Blaine Hawkins and defensive lineman Blade Durbala.

Central continues American Rivers Conference play this Saturday, hosting Nebraska Wesleyan at 1:00 inside Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium.
