Norah Pearson will become the first Knoxville girls cross country runner at the State Meet since Alyssa Van Klootwyk ran in Fort Dodge in 2011. Pearson will be among six freshmen at the state meet in class 3A. Co-Coach Michael Splavec tells KRLS Sports the main job for Pearson is to know when and where to be, and to be comfortable before the starter’s pistol is fired. The girls 3A race is scheduled to get underway at noon on Saturday.
