The City of Pella is launching a new website. City Clerk Mandy Smith says over the past year, administration has been working on ways to better communicate with residents, and the expanded and revamped online presence is a major step in expanding that line between the community and city departments. Event permits and applications for city-sponsored activities will be able to be submitted entirely online in the new system. Lt. Shane Cox with the Pella Police Department says the new website has expanded the city’s alert capabilities, which will allow residents to receive real-time alerts from department updates to emergency situations. The new City of Pella website launches on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 29th.
