The Indianola School Board met in regular session Monday evening. The board looked at the official enrollment numbers for 2019-20, a decrease of approximately 43 students from 2018-19, and 1.22%. Due to the decrease in enrollment, the board also put together a draft proposal for early retirement that can be applied for for any qualifying staff over the age of 55 by this January 31st. Approximately 45 teachers and 42 support staff qualify for early retirement. The board also made appointments to the Career Technical Education Advisory Committee, heard reports from the board curriculum, technology, and finance committees, and received a facilities update.
