Following Pleasantville Volleyball’s Monday night loss to Pella Christian, the fall sports season is officially over for Pleasantville Athletics. While the football team missed the playoffs for the second year in a row, it was an improvement in the win column from last season. The Trojans went 3-6 in 2018 and got back above .500 this season at 5-4, closing the season with a dominant win over Woodward Academy.

The volleyball team did not win a postseason game, but it was a massive improvement from 2018. That Trojan team finished 4-19 overall, but Pleasantville had a major bounce-back year, finishing 16-9 this year. Pleasantville enjoyed an eight game win streak in their second season in the West Central Conference.

The cross country teams didn’t get anyone to state, but the boys finished 11th and the girls finished sixth at the West Central Conference meet.

Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS in the coming weeks for individual season recaps and previews for the upcoming winter sports season.
