While the PCM football team had a two-game drop in the win column this regular season compared to last season, the Mustangs are still set up for success in the playoffs. PCM earned an at-large bid to this year’s playoff field after a 7-2 regular season, finishing in second place in their district.
The Mustangs will hit the road for their playoff opener, traveling to Van Horne to take on the Benton Community Bobcats. It will be the first ever meeting between the programs.
Benton has found their identity in the passing game this season. Quarterback Clay Krousie has thrown for over 2200 yards this season, while their leading rusher only has exactly 700 yards on the season. With this in mind, PCM should feel good about their chances if they are able to shut down the prolific passing attack.
PCM’s first round playoff game kicks off at 7:00 this Friday evening in Van Horne. The game will be broadcast live on KRLS3.
