Eight-man district five has announced its all-district selections. For Twin Cedars, the Sabers got two players on first team with Trenton Reed on the offensive line and Kade Dunkin on defense. Dunkin led the Sabers with 90 tackles and 77 solo. He also nabbed five interceptions and recovered two fumbles. Dunkin also excelled on offense leading the Sabers in receiving with 536 yards and five touchdowns and was the team’s second leading rusher with 316 yards and three scores. Twin Cedars finished with a 1-9 record in 2019. Melcher-Dallas got three players on the first team with Ryan Krpan at wide receiver. Krpan led the Saints with 635 yards and seven touchdowns. Also on first team was Noe Trzebiatowski on defense, and Cole Metz also earned first team honors as a line backer, leading the Saints with 49 tackles this season. Earning honorable mention was Evan Putz and Steven Krpan with Scott Johnson getting the all-district citizenship award. Melcher-Dallas finished with a 2-7 mark this season.
