Over the past year, a Pella High School student has been participating in a competition affiliated with the World Food Prize. Joe Beukelman, a senior at Pella High, had a paper he wrote selected among just 200 students nationally as part of the Iowa Youth Institute, and in October, presented at the World Food Prize in Des Moines.
